But don’t call it Autoblog.

It’s called Car Culture of Maryland. It’s going to document my own thoughts, musings, and opinions, as well as, of course, the car culture of MD and its surrounding areas. My Youtube channel is going to become automotive focused. It’s not anything big or ambitious, just a hobby.

What I plan on doing is as follows:

Documentation/history of my own vehicles.

Updates on the vehicles that I, and my family, own.

Videos/pictures of car shows and events.

Possible interviews with local automotive personalities.

Random automotive focused videos. (Maybe I see something cool driving by, or maybe I go to the dealership to check something out)

However, I may need some assistance. First off, I’m on the Western end of the state, therefore, events in central and eastern MD, I’d like to know if one or more of you would be willing to work with me on this. It’s a Blogger page, and a Youtube page, set up through a dedicated Gmail account, with monetization enabled through the Youtube partner program. I’m also going to set up an image sharing page setup.

So, if anyone, who lives in other parts of the state, wants to help me with this, let me know, and we will rule together. It doesn’t have to be just Maryland either. I’m close to WV and PA, so I’ll have stuff from those states as well. If say, you’re near DC or VA, you can feature content from those places as well.

I’m also going to need a logo designed. Preferably something with the Maryland flag, and maybe a car or an engine. Use your best judgment.

If you help me with this, it wouldn’t be paid, unless the YT monetization pans out, and it gets huge, then if you post videos and blog posts, you’re welcome to a cut of the money. But, I can’t make promises. If you’re willing to participate, then I’ll give you the email address, and we’ll work the information out.

I’ll also setup a Facebook page for it too.

If nobody’s interested, then I’ll still do it, just on a smaller scale.

Call it Angerblog so it can live up to the comment section over there.

Or maybe using truth in advertising, they should change their name to Angerblog and give up the current name to you.

At any rate don’t do the normal blog thing. Me, me, me, I I I, mine, mine, me me , I mine, me, ours, mine.

There are faaaaar too many blogs about what I think of this and what I did with that. Testimonials are OK for a while but the language gets old. Be more editorial. Be more journalistic. Document what happened at the event don’t just pound and pound home what you thought of it.

Budget one personal thought or story to two to three told from the third person. Think The SmokingTire. Matt does a good job. Not more than 20% of his comments are about him or his experience. But then, you can just enumorate facts either. That’s boring.

Good luck

Ha! That’s true about Angerblog. Beyond my introductory post, I don’t plan on doing the whole first person thing, except when I post updates about my own vehicles, which won’t be really too often. It’s going to be more focused on reporting outside my own life.
